ST: Nikola Kalinić – Fiorentina (Italy)
Former Blackburn striker Nikola Kalinic has deluged goals in last week with 5 goals & 2assists in consecutive 2 matches. Kalinic scored couple of goals in EUFA Europa league against Slovan and a hat-trick in next match against Cagliari in an enchanting Serie A game that Fiorentina won by 5-3 eventually. Though Davide di Gennaro opened the score line for Cagliari, they could not hold onto it for long. Kalinic and Federico Bernardeschi netted twice each to make it 4-1 prior to half-time break. The Croatian finished his hat-trick just after the game resumed, making it 5-1. Surprisingly he had only scored once in his 1st seven Serie A matches this season but came back strong.
RW: Sadio Mané – Liverpool (England)
The Senegalese opened the score sheet in the match against West Brom from a distance of 18 yards. He also scored and assisted against defending champion Leicester City; achieved the Man of the match with a 9.5 above rating. The all red striker has netted 4 times in 8 league appearances.
LW: Eden Hazard – Chelsea (England)
After passing a horrible season in Chelsea the winger is retaining his old form. The Belgian international is popular among fans for his excellent dribbling prowess and deadly passes. Unfortunately last season he has been into his shadow. However, recent form suggests the signs of revival, specially his performance in Chelsea vs ManU match were promising.
RM: Xherdan Shaqiri – Stoke City (England)
Shaqiri successfully delivered display of his class by scoring couple of goals that led the team to a 2-0 victory against Hull city while both the teams are fighting for a better position in the league. Interesting fact is, he scored both the goals from outside the box and became the first Stoke player to do so.
CM: N’Golo Kanté – Chelsea (England)
Kante added the fourth goal as the Blues ran riot against Jose Mourinho’s side. While ManU was already lagging behind by 3 goals to nil, he nailed the last one to their coffin humiliating them completely. He was also effective against Hull & Leicester City as well. No wonder his consistent form has made his place in FIFA17 team of the week.
CDM: Steven N’Zonzi – Sevilla FC (Spain)
Sevilla ended Atletico Madrid’s unbeaten run in the league with a 1-0 triumph at a rain-soaked match. N’Zonzi scored a goal on 73 minutes which proved to be the winning goal in the match. His goal lifted Sevilla into 2nd position in La Liga while they trail behind Real Madrid by only one point.
CDM: Naby Keïta – RB Leipzig (Germany)
RasenBallsport Leipzig has successfully extended their unbeaten start to the Bundesliga this season to 8 games with a 3-1 win over Werder Bremen last week. Naby Keita was 1st player to get his name into scoring three minutes before half-time and added their second with 15 minutes remaining. The victory has taken Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men to within two points of Bayern Munich who are at the top of the table.
RB: Sébastien Corchia – LOSC Lille (France)
Lille is having a rough time in the league. However they managed to defeat SC Bastia when French defender Corchia involved in scoring and claimed Man of the match title as well.
CB: Andrea Masiello – Atalanta (Italy)
The defender has helped Atalanta to get a rigid base in the league by defeating Inter Milan. Though his career has been denigrated with controversial fixing scandal he is still fighting against the odds.
LB: Grimaldo – SL Benfica (Portugal)
Alejandro Grimaldo of Spain joined the Portuguese club this year. The youngster scored once in a 2-0 victory over Belenenses. He is considered as the best LB at Benfica since Fabio Coentrão. Grimaldo has scored 2 goals in last 10 league matches.
GK: Gianluigi Donnarumma – Milan (Italy)
Being only 17 years old, Donnarumma has claimed his place in the team of the week for the second time with his extraordinary performance. Huge responsibility for a young lad like him and still unnerved.
